Lovely Sarah Jessica ParkerI’m rather curious, why is it that TV commercials feel the need to use half naked women to sell women’s designer perfume?  Could it be that the name alone is not enough?  Elizabeth Arden, Christina Aguilera and Sarah Jessica Parker to mention just a few, could not sell otherwise, I doubt it.

Now men’s cologne seems to sell better by their name alone, or am I just missing those commercials?  Anyway, I think it only fair for commercials to advertise the same with the men, Tim McGraw to name just one.

Scents and the City

sarah-jessica-parker-lovelyWhatever else she does through the course of her storied acting career, Sarah Jessica Parker will almost certainly be best remembered for her role as Carrie Bradshaw on the hit television series “Sex and the City.” That show managed to capture the cultural zeitgeist during the late 1990s and early 2000s – an age of material excess matched only by the Reagan ’80s. Bradshaw and her friends demonstrated an obsession for extravagant fashion accessories, frivolous relationships and pricy cocktails.

In short, they captured the hearts and minds of many women, and the show served as a guilty pleasure for some men as well. More recently, Parker has expanded her interests and branding potential to other ancillary markets – most notably the perfume industry. Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely is a captivating fragrance that appeals to bookish Charlottes and scintillating Samantha types as well.
