When you think about Valentines Day and your significant other do you ever have to stop and think about what you are going to do for them? Well I do, as a matter of fact it is almost as bad as Christmas because I want him to know how much I love him.
In the past I have bought him chocolate and different kinds of men’s designer cologne, but I wonder why it would be so bad to buy him flowers? He always buys me flowers or chocolate or just a really sweet card, would it be so bad for a woman to buy her man flowers and a card to let him know how much he is loved? I really do wonder!
Have you ever noticed that the majority of the women you run into wear makeup? So, stop and try to remember how many of these women really know how to apply their makeup? I have taken notice lately and I have to say alot of them wear it to thick or maybe to light or some just need to change the makeup that they use.
I have found that clinique makeup carries the best line of makeup for my skin type, which is rather oily. The biggest mistake that I see women make is the way that they blend their makeup. Some don’t, that is the first thing that I notice when I put on my makeup, it is not necessary for people to know you are wearing it because they see the line where your makeup stops, blend it in, that way we know your wearing it because it looks natural. I can’t say it enough, blend, blend and blend.
I have to admit, probably along with many other women, how I love a man that smells good. It doesn’t really even matter what the man looks like, it is just the cologne that he wears. It makes all the difference in the world as far as a first impression.
I met a Dr. not to long ago, that as far as looks go, I was not impressed at all, however, when I got closer to him I could smell his cool water cologne, and it was almost like I saw a totally different man. A man that I used to date wears cool water and now every time I smell it not only do I love the scent, but it brings back memories that I would not have thought of otherwise.
I love aromatherapy candles and I truly believe in how they work. I will be the first person to steer anyone to the use of the candles, and have. I have to admit though there is one thing that I have found that the candles, lavender for the relieve of stress, will not help.
So, I’m a hugh Michigan St. basketball fan, and I’m watching them play against Minnesota and they are losing. The more the game goes the more they fall behind, no amount of candles, stress balls even yelling at the television helps in a case like that. The good part about the game was in the last 2 minutes we came back and won the game. Wow, it was a very stressful afternoon.
My husband and my grand kids are probably closer then any grandpa and grandson’s I know, they think the world of their grandpa and it is so great to watch them together. My grandson’s are 5 and 7 and like any other kids their age they are like little video recorders, I swear they soak everything up like a sponge.
A few weeks ago my husband and I were getting ready to go shopping, when John was all ready to go the oldest asked why grandpa smelled so good, I told him it was because of the men’s cologne grandpa was wearing. Needless to say while we were shopping grandpa had to buy the boys some cologne. Its kinda cute, because the kids don’t call it men’s cologne they call it man spray.
I love aromatherapy candles and I buy them quite often, I have however, noticed they tend to be a bit expensive depending on how often you buy them. So I have decide to make them and save some money and here is how I do it.
First, you will need containers for your aromatherapy candles, pint sized canning jars or jelly jars work great, next you will need wax, beeswax is best but can be expensive, paraffin wax is not recommended for indoor use. You will also need essential oil, about 5 drops for 2 cups of wax flakes.
You will need to melt the wax the same way the directions tell you to according to the wax you purchased, add your essential oil to melted wax after you removed it from the heat, stir to incorporate the wax and the oil, next set the wick in the jar and while keeping the wick in place pour in the wax. Using a wick setter is great for making aromatherapy candles. After you have allowed the candles to cool until they are solid you can begin burning them or better yet, give them as a gift, they make terrific gifts.
The best skin care products can only get you so far. You need to give some thought and consideration to the type of makeup you use. Always go for a premium brand, such as Clinique makeup, as they will be less likely to irritate your skin. And be sure to clean your tools regularly. Things such as cosmetic brushes get dirty and can carry bacteria and germs and may cause skin irritations and breaking out.
One of the leading cosmetic authorities suggests that cosmetic brushes be thoroughly cleaned at least twice a month. A good way is to soak brushes for about 10 minutes in a dish of warm, soapy water using mild liquid detergent or baby shampoo. Rinse and blot excess moisture with a towel and stand the brushes, handle end down, in a tall glass until they are thoroughly dry.
As a women, I feel the need to change things up a little bit every once in a while. Weather it be moving my furniture around or a certain type of hair style or change my perfume. Seriously, how many women only have one kind of perfume? You may have your favorites but we all like a change.
My husband is just the opposite and I think alot of men are the same, they like to wear only the one men’s cologne that they have been wearing for years. I have bought my husband different kinds of cologne for birthdays or Christmas hoping that he might like the change, all for naught, he always goes back to Drakkar. I just don’t get it. Hopefully one day I will find the one men’s cologne that can compete with Drakkar and soon.
I have to admit that I love living in Michigan, I do sometimes complain about the weather in the winter only because I hate being cold. However, where else can you live and get all the seasons as pretty as it is in Michigan. One thing I love to do is to open my windows and let some fresh air into the house. Can’t do that in the winter.
What I have always done is light candles, and I didn’t used to care what kind. I have sense realized that by lighting aromatherapy candles not only does my house smell wonderful but I feel wonderful. There are so many different kinds of aromatherapy candles to choose from depending on your mood. Try it everyday and I promise it will uplift your spirits and you will feel great.
Have you ever really looked forward to attending a party only to find out when you get there that every women in the place is wearing a different scent. Rather it be women’s perfume or scented lotions, it can be a bit over bearing.
I went to such a party, and was so not impressed with all the different perfumes that women wear and to the extent that they apply this perfume. I am a firm believer that when you walk out of a room your scent should go with you, not linger in the room until you come back. And if you are going to wear women’s perfume don’t wear scented lotion, that is a big no no!
Ladies, when you apply your perfume try just a little on your pulse points, like your wrists and neck. If you are not sure how much to put on try spraying a little on a cotton ball and applying it that way.
