I believe that people everywhere are thinking “green” and in turn we want to use anything that is all natural wherever and whenever we can. This is one reason why we are more educated with the knowledge of essential oils.
There is a lot more to aromatherapy then just the aromatherapy candles. Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years for healing and spiritual purposes, and this will only continue to get more popular the more we know and understand aromatherapy.
Take peppermint, it stimulates your nervous system and your body will in turn feel more energized. Before you drink your coffee in the morning, first take a shower with citrus scented soap. The citrus oils not only have a refreshing scent but can be very energizing, you may even feel you don’t really need that coffee after all. The next time you have a headache try lavender essential oils, message oil on temples and forehead and see how much better you feel, you can even spray some on your pillow for a good night sleep.
According to Vogue, the legendary filmmaker, Martin Scorsese is shooting campaigns for Chanel’s signature women’s perfume Chanel No. 5. How many people have not heard of Martin Scorsese? With films like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull and winning the academy award for best director in The Departed. He is certainly a busy man, one would think. Rumor has it Chanel wants him to direct a commercial for them.
Chanel did confirm the rumors that Martin has directed a series of commercials for a certain men’s cologne (the fragrance remains a mystery) that will air in September. I would say that Chanel has brought a highly acclaimed man on board, one that Chanel says is a privilege that they have been seeking for quite sometime.
Have you ever stopped to wonder why so many celebrities have their own colognes and perfumes? I can’t help but wonder how they have the time. I mean, I’m not nearly as busy and still don’t seem to have enough time in the day.
The Daily Express has Quoted Gerard Butler on BBC Radio 1 as saying “I need a perfume. I need to tell my publicist to get that. He’s not got me any worth while branding. Clive Owen has his aftershave, Ewen McGregor has cologne. What do I have? Nothing. I don’t know what it would be like, but I need one.”
I think now after reading that quote, there may be a little competition involved, which, for all of us others, isn’t so bad. There are a lot of fine fragrances to choose from. Such as, Pure Orchid by Halle Barry, and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. Even young tennis great Rafael Nadal is the face of L’Homme Sport by Lanvin. So, in the future I would suggest keeping an eye out for a line of men’s cologne or maybe even women’s perfume with Gerard Butler’s name on it.
The Associated Press and AOL conducted a poll that placed Paris Hilton as the second “Worst Celebrity Role Model of 2006″, behind Brittney Spears. In 2007, Paris Hilton, model, actress, recording artist and author appeared in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s “Most Overrated Celebrity”. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations added a quote in 2009 from Paris stating, “dress cute wherever you go, life’s to short to blend in”.
It doesn’t really matter what your opinion of Paris Hilton is, there is no denying the popularity of her women’s perfume. She started in 2004 with her involvement in the creation of the perfume line by Parlux Fragrances. Due to the sales of the Hilton-branded perfume, there was a 47% increase in sales of Parlux products. Since then, Paris has launched several more women’s perfume and men’s cologne.
I can’t say that I agree with alot of things about Paris Hilton, but, I have to admit that her line of women’s perfume is really nice, and the scents are very beautiful and maybe even sensual. So congratulations to Paris for her line of fragrances.
If you are the parent of more then one child you will probably understand just where I’m coming from. I have two grandchildren, they are both boys at the age of five and six. They like to play hard and they sometimes like to irritate each other just as hard. I think that I have found a helpful solution.
After the kids were done playing they seemed to think they didn’t have to clean up and would rather argue. Well, I turned the television off, turned on some soothing children’s music and I had lite some aromatherapy candles. I would say that in about 10 minutes, maybe less, they stopped arguing and helped each other clean up. It was like watching a miracle, needless to say we choose that option more often now.
Try some aromatherapy bath oil. I swear by this stuff to calm your kids before bed and they will sleep well also.
Japan is not excepting to Abercrombie and Fitch’s mens cologne
Abercrombie & Fitch has set up their first outpost in Japan and the Japanese are not taking to Abercrombie & Fitch as well as the United States has. Japan has a culture of subtlety and politeness that A & F apparently failed to assimilate with their bare chested male staff members.
Sex appeal may be a big part of their charm in the United States, but not so much in Japan. I hate to admit it but what I find quite hilarious is that the A & F branch has taken to giving the space a bath in men’s cologne and piping it through the ventilation. Makes you wonder if they will ever be excepted in Japan.
Scarlett Johansson is already the face for Dolce & Gabbana’s womens perfume, Rose the One. Well now her actor husband, Ryan Reynolds is the new face for Hugo Boss.
Ryan told Women’s Wear Daily that Boss is a brand that not only represents classic style and sophistication, but inspires men to work hard, embrace opportunities and strive for success in all aspects of their lives, and I’m honoured Boss invited me to be the face of its new men’s cologne.
A spokesperson for Boss told People magazine that Reynolds would be the face of two new, as-yet-unnamed scents.
I have read that according to “Aromatherapy: A complete guide to the healing art” that there are some scents that tend to act as aphrodisiacs. Such scents as jasmine, ylang-ylang, patchouli and sandlewood would be great to set the mood for the perfect end to valentines day with your sweetheart.
So we took their advice, we lit some aromatherapy candles, and used jasmine scented message oil. It was so perfect that I can hardly wait until next year to see what my sweetheart has planned for us.
I worked today, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with one thing on my mind. I have tickets to the Detroit Red Wings game. It was so hard to keep my mind on my work.
I finally get home, I shower, I put my makeup on and my favorite women’s perfume, red door. Of course my husband says how nice I look and how good I smell, of course he has to, so he thinks. But he can’t understand why I went all out for a hockey game. Can’t a women just look and smell good just because they want to?
Sean “diddy” Combs promotes latest mens cologne “I am King”
Sean ”diddy” Combs, hip hop artist, actor, men’s fashion designer entrepreneur and dancer, hosted this years 3rd annual Grammy Awards Gold Carpet Post Party in honor of the grammys and also to promote his latest men’s cologne called I am King. He has won 3 grammy awards for his work on his music.
In Nov. 2008 he launched his latest men’s cologne under the Sean John brand calling it “I am King” dedicated to Barrack Obama, Muhammad Ali and Martin Luther King. Stating in his blog “there is a black president and it’s time for there to be a black bond”. I am looking forward to seeing just what Sean “diddy” Combs has in store for us later.
